Ama creates a whimsical take on vegetation through paper sculptures, Bringing humans back to their connection with earth. Our need for nature in our lives, and fixation on everlasting life. She specializes in crepe paper and paper mache, forming and manipulating the medium into organic bulbous shapes. Her aesthetic combines modern contemporary with figurative botanicals. I make templates of leaves and petals using inspiration from plants, 70s posters, body parts and art deco style. Giving her art a bizarre, humorous and unexpected reality of fantasy. The art is truly enjoyed through any angle and encourages the viewer to find secret moments. Creating movement with high emphasis on new plant growth and budding formations

Ama has three large scale permanent paper botanical installations at Meet on Madison showroom, 41st and Madison NY. These works are  in correlation with David Benjamin Sherry's photography. She has participated in multiple group shows in manhattan incoporating performances with her work as of 2023. Her first solo show “everlasting fantasy” debuted 2023 at Compere Collective in Redhook, NY. She has shown her "growth" sculpture series at Art Basel Miami, 2021. In 2022 she Orchestrated a pop up installations and show featuring her work at Kava Social on Bedford.

Alongside her art practice, she has created commercial paper fabrication work. Including clients such as Bloomingdales, TCO, Macys, S’well, Party City, Hushpuppies, Primary Kids, IZIPIZI, PayPal pop-up windows and an Ariana Grande holiday party.

She will continue to bridge the gap between craft and art. Stretching the limits and size of paper art as a whole.
